Rumson

Rumson is known for its many sprawling 19th-century estates located alongside the shores of the Navesink and  Shrewsbury rivers and also located along the historic Rumson Road, and its close proxminity to the Jersey Shore.

 

Rumson is a quaint, charming and affluent borough located in Monmouth County.  It is known for its picturesque setting along the Navesink River, offering scenic views, lush landscapes, and a tight-knit community. The river provides recreational opportunities, such as boating, and the waterfront area has parks, marinas, and walking trails. The borough has a historical charm with a rich history dating back to the 1600s. The town itself is approximately five square miles, and offers many different types of housing, including luxury estates, single family homes, townhomes, and rentals. Commuting to NYC is easy with the ferry or New Jersey Transit as options.

Rumson is just a short distance from the Jersey Shore, including such beaches as Sea Bright, Sandy Hook, Monmouth Beach & the beach at Long Branch, making it a desirable location for people who want easy access to beaches without living directly in a beach town. Additionally there are many other things to do in Rumson, including golfing, sailing, swimming, kayaking and hiking. Rumson is a self-contained town featuring shopping, excellent restaurants, many places of worship, health club options, a tennis club, boat marinas and the Rumson Country Club. The public school system serves Kindergarten to 8th Grade, and students attend Rumson/Fair Haven Regional High School for 9th through 12th grade, with the Holy Cross School for grades K–8 and Rumson County Day School serving Pre-school to 8th Grade as private school options.  The town also hosts fun community & charity events like the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Memorial Day Parade.
